I left early on a Saturday morning and drove from west to east to find Randell and his very large entourage enjoying a late lunch together. This was the first wedding I have photographed where I haven't seen the bride until she arrives at the church, my fellow photographer John, who I was second shooting for today (a first) was covering bridal prep. I usually spend most of the morning with the bride and have a very short time with the groom so it was nice to have more time taking photographs of the groom prepping for his wedding day.
Once the boys had full bellies they came outside, toasted with some bubbly, attached their button holes and before they left we wondered into a nearby field. Randell drove his land rover over and all the boys climbed on, time was short but before they headed off I took a few photos and then off they went.
Everyone was in such good spirits at the church, my favourite part during the service was when everyone stood up during the signing of the register and sang Tender by Blur, it was such a great atmosphere.
The reception venue was held just across the field in the absolutely stunning Somerleyon Estate. I wondered round the gardens whilst everyone enjoyed some drinks and canapés and John covered the group photos. The sun was finally starting to go down and give a nice glow. I took my last few photos before everyone went inside and that was the end of my day. Thank-you John for asking me to work with you and Randell and Lucy I wish you all the best.
