Wedding venues in the heart of the Cotswolds and beyond

I'm just too excited for weddings to be back on and in full swing come 2021, it couldn’t come quick enough. I've got some amazing venues lined up with awesome couples and I honestly can’t wait to get back behind my camera. As I wait in anticipation I thought I’d show you just a few of the venues I’m really looking forward to working at next year, some of which I have worked at before and others I can’t wait to visit.

I have chosen to share these venues with you to begin with. I thought what better place to start than in the heart of the Cotswold in the middle of the country with a mixture of old Manor houses and converted barns sat amongst beautiful grounds and countryside. So, let me introduce you to some venues I simply can't wait to visit and maybe even inspire you to book your wedding day at one of these amazing wedding locations.

Primrose Hill Farm

Theres a reason why I have start with this venue because it's where I got married in April 2019 and I just can't wait to return and photograph a few more weddings here next summer. You won’t find another barn venue like Primrose Hill Farm, the unique contemporary space has high ceilings with lime washed timber with natural light flooding the barn through floor to ceiling windows. This venue will forever hold a special place in my heart and believe me if you book this venue you will not regret it!

Cripps Barn

Cripps barn is a favourite venue of mine, the setting, the barn and the feel of this place uses the elegant and luxury countryside Cotswold wedding that we all love. One of my favourite places at this venue is the outdoor space where couples can exchange their vows in the small woodland next to the barn. A string quartet is known to be playing as the guests arrive with the light twinkling through the trees. Once ceremonies are over guests fill the gardens for the drinks reception and group photos. When dinner is served guests flood into the barn which is well lite with modern and rustic interiors. I would highly recommend checking out Cripps Barn website and if you like what you see go ahead and book asap as they’re so popular.

Dodford Manor

Hints of modern refurbishment are dotted around this venue. The contemporary floor to ceiling window glass is wedged between the stone walls filling the wedding barn with natural light. The Manor has spectacular views and sheep are dotted all around the fields. Dodford Manor made for a perfect venue for Johnny and Yolanda as they love the outdoors and getting out into countryside. If you want a rustic, light and elegant venue Dodford Manor is the place for you.

Notley Tythe Barn

Notley Tythe Barn as this is one of my favourite and most popular venues I get booked for, I think I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been here now. Notley Tythe Barn also holds a place in my heart as I celebrated my Great-Grandmothers 100th birthday here with all my close and extended family. I have watched this venue change and transform over the years into one of Oxfordshire favourite wedding venues, the interior space is huge with whitewashed walls, and high ceilings with beams. You won’t find a venue with quite as much space to let the children run wild whilst you enjoy your day.

Horniman Museum

I am beyond excited to photograph a wedding I have booked at the Horniman Museum next year. The Victorian Conservatory allows so much light and the foliage and styling this venue has to offer is on another level, I can't wait to see the styling this couple have at this venue . The lovely couple whose wedding I’m photographing here are currently living in different countries due to Covid. I know this day will be so special to capture as their lives can finally come together.

Dewsall Court Wedding

As soon as you enter the gates at Dewsall Court you are met with luxury in this idyllic corner of the Herefordshire countryside. From the ancient church at the bottom of the garden to breath-taking views seen from the stunning barn conversation you couldn’t wish for a more perfect setting for your wedding. Honestly Dewsall Court is so special, your guests will not forget this incredible venue and I can’t wait to shoot another wedding here next year and a styled shoot in a couple of weeks time.

Caswell House

A unique and beautiful wedding venue on the edge of the Cotswolds, Caswell House is a place steeped in history, and holds a captivating beauty all of its own, with original honey coloured Cotswold Stone buildings and an ancient orchard. I’m so pleased to have booked this venue and will be shooting an old school friend’s wedding here next March.

Hamswell House

Hamswell House has a romantic organery and gardens which are absolutely stunning. I can only speak for the website as I haven’t worked at this venue before. I can’t wait to photograph a wedding here next July and as soon as they’re open for visits I will be taking my camera and scouting out this venue.

More photos coming soon...

I have lots more venues I will be visiting next summer and I hope your wedding gets added to my list. I will share another blog post of wedding venues I will be shooting at in Wales and further a field very soon. If your venue isn’t on this list and you would like to book me to photograph your day I would love to hear from you.
