Getting Ready at Fforest Weddings: The Contrast of Elegance and Earth

The morning unfolded slowly in the main house, where bride prep took place. Rustic interiors—deer antlers, chipped paint, warm leather, soft throws formed a backdrop that made Anna’s dress, Agatha puff sleeve wedding dress by Sarah Seven feel all the more radiant. Puff sleeves are back, and honestly? I'm obsessed.

Her bridesmaids floated through the morning in the Boheme Slip Dress with Feathers in White from Daily Sleeper dresses, champagne glasses in hand, laughter echoing off wood-panelled walls.

A short walk away, Jamie got ready in an Onsen Dome bell tent, standing on the porch like a scene out of a Western. Cold beers, rolled-up sleeves, and that black tie suit from Suitsupply? Iconic.

Saying ‘I Do’ in a Tipi Overlooking Meadows

Anna & Jamie exchanged vows beneath the canvas of a giant tipi, pitched high on the hillside with views that stretched over meadows and skies. Cocktails followed on the lawn of the Garden Pavilion—a laid-back, sun-soaked drinks reception where guests lounged with canapés and cocktails.

Then the music started.

Brass Bands & Tambourines: The Party Begins

Led by the Brass Junkies, the entire wedding party marched up the hill in celebration. Guests waved personalised tambourines as the newlyweds entered the Cedar Barn—a room bursting with joy, laughter, and just the right amount of chaos. Let’s just say… the speeches weren’t exactly quiet.

Above the dinner table, a gorgeous cloud of gypsophila made by Holly & Moss hovered, creating a look that was both elegant and wild, perfectly echoing the day’s theme.

Firepits, Flower Beds & Dancing Until Midnight

As the sky dimmed and the sparklers lit up the garden, guests gathered by the firepits in the vegetable garden, surrounded by flower beds. The dance floor was alive—a blur of hands in the air, skirts swirling, tambourines rattling, the kind of unfiltered dancing that only happens when everyone feels at home.
