Evie & Gabriel — A Chic Oxford Wedding at the Bodleian Library & Radcliffe Observatory

There are wedding days that feel special, and then there are days like Evie & Gabriel’s Oxford wedding. Iconic. Stylish. Effortlessly cool. Full of warmth, laughter, and love.

Set in the heart of the city, this luxury Oxford wedding took place at the historic Bodleian Library, one of the most breathtaking wedding venues in Oxfordshire. Steeped in history and surrounded by striking architecture, it was the perfect setting for a couple whose vision for their wedding day was both elegant and modern.

Bridal Prep — Effortless Elegance & Calm Morning Energy

The morning began with calm energy and quiet excitement. The bridal suite was filled with laughter as bridesmaids and Evie’s brides man steamed dresses, prepped the space, and helped Evie get ready before making their way through Oxford for the ceremony.

Evie wore an embellished halter-neck gown by Rosa Clará — the perfect balance of sophistication and subtle glamour. Her hair, styled down with a delicate up-do by Bridesmade Artistry framed her soft features beautifully and reflected her minimalist take on bridal styling, jewellery-free and effortlessly chic.

Evie’s natural beauty shone through every detail, creating a bridal look that was timeless, refined, and quietly powerful.

The Ceremony — A Romantic Wedding at the Bodleian Library

Evie & Gabriel chose to say their vows inside the Bodleian Library Weddings one of Oxford’s most iconic spaces. Surrounded by centuries of history, the atmosphere was intimate, emotional, and filled with quiet grandeur.

Their kind, gentle natures shone through every moment, from the tender glances to the laughter that rippled through the room. It was a ceremony that felt deeply personal yet beautifully timeless.

The bridesmaids looked effortlessly chic in striking black outfits, a modern contrast to Evie’s classic gown, a pairing that set the tone for the day: elegant, elevated, and utterly effortless.

The Walk Through Oxford

After the ceremony, guests made their way through the cobbled streets of Oxford, passing historic colleges and golden sandstone buildings on their way to the Radcliffe Observatory.

The observatory provided the dreamiest backdrop for their Oxford wedding drinks reception. Guests enjoyed cocktails and lawn games under the summer sun, laughter filling the air as everyone searched for shade on one of the hottest days of the year.

Wedding Portraits at the Radcliffe Observatory

While guests mingled on the lawn, Evie & Gabriel slipped away for a quiet moment together at the top of the observatory. The sun streamed through the tall windows, flooding the room with golden light and creating the most romantic atmosphere for their Oxford wedding portraits.

I always ask my couples to lean in and fully trust me during their portrait session, it’s how the magic happens.

That trust allows me to capture the natural, in-between moments that bring out their personalities and connection. It’s this approach that creates that candid-yet-editorial feel couples are drawn to when they first see my work.

Evie and Gabriel’s complete trust in me allowed everything to unfold effortlessly, resulting in portraits that feel cinematic, relaxed, and deeply emotional, the kind of images that tell their love story in the most timeless way.

Dinner, Speeches & Champagne Magic

As they made their way down the stairwell, the couple were welcomed with cheers into their dinner space. The evening began with intimate speeches, shared laughter, and heartfelt words from their closest friends.

The night officially kicked off with a champagne tower, the perfect mix of elegance and celebration. Later, Evie changed into a silk mini evening dress made by her bridesman, a look that was simple, chic, and effortlessly glamorous.

As the golden hour light faded, the couple shared their first dance outdoors, surrounded by friends and family. Bottles were popped, music filled the air, and guests danced beneath the Oxford sky.
